We heard from eRead IL, one of our ebook services, that folks using the Axis 360 App (a Baker and Taylor product) on their Kindles are experiencing some problems:
“An app update released last week contained a bug that has been causing connectivity issues for patrons. Baker & Taylor has released a corrected version of the app to Apple, Google, and Amazon. The corrected version has been released by Apple and Google into the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store but Amazon has not yet rolled it out to the Amazon App Store. Kindle Fire users looking for the Axis 360 app in the Amazon App Store may receive a message that the Kindle Fires are no longer compatible with Axis 360. This is not correct. We do not currently have any indication from Amazon about when they will release the corrected app.” –statement issued from eRead IL, 4/18/17
It is suspected the issue will be resolved soon.
The library system will be undergoing maintenance/updates on Saturday, January 28th at 10pm. The library catalog and research databases will be in accessible during this time.

Wed, 1/25/17–5pm: It appears we are experiencing intermittent login issues with library systems. This may affect users trying to access any of our electronic research databases.

If you are experiencing problems when logging into library resources from on or off campus, please, first, attempt to update your MVCC password by doing the following:
1). First, register your security questions using our Password Reset Registration tool.
2). Once registered, you can use the Password Reset link to answer your security questions and create a new password.
You can also contact the HelpDesk to help you reset your password. You can reach the HelpDesk at 708.608 Help (4357).

The eRead IL ebook and electronic audiobook collection available through the library will be down for maintenance from 4am until 8am on Sunday, September 11th.
What is eRead IL?
eRead IL is an ebook and electronic audiobook collection that the MVCC students and staff have access to through the library. It contains over 25,000 titles. You can access these resources via computer or various mobile devices after downloading the Axis 360 app that works with eRead IL.
Visit the eRead IL website directly or browse ebook titles or electronic audiobook titles through the library catalog.
Login to eRead IL using your MVCC username (Library Card ID) and password (PIN). Note: this is the same as your Blackboard, Canvas, and MV Connect login.

Our ProQuest databases will be offline for scheduled maintenance by the database vendor on Saturday, August 20, 9pm to Sunday August 21, 6am.

The library has a new anthology containing documents, artist manifestos, critical essays, and roundtable discussions related to avant-garde art in postwar-Japan.
